Helen and I had a long chat yesterday. We’ve been through so much and have so much more ahead of us that we’ve both been emotionally affected and it’s had an adverse affect on how we’ve been treating each other. Getting our feelings out was really helpful as we both needed to understand the other and we both had things to change.<\/p>\n

Later in the morning we drove to Port Alfred to visit my sister and her family in the home there. It’s a nice break from the work we’ve been doing in Grahamstown. Helen and I took a couple of hours to ourselves walking around the town and having a beer\/coffee at a local restaurant. I felt like we were a young couple again.
