228nm to Las Palmas. The pace slightly better than yesterday. My near term hope (to the extent I can use the word) is that Dignity will arrive at Las Palmas early enough in the day to avoid an overnight stop. For her to arrive by 9am Wed morning, she needs to pick up her daily distance covered to 130nm.

340nm to Las Palmas
Dignity is now 340nm away from Las Palmas and closing the gap at just under 100nm per day. If this keeps up, she’ll reach Las Palmas early evening on June 20th. My guess is that she’ll leave the following day. I have been told that it will take 18 days to cross to Tortola. Although this had been in the same breath it would take 7 days to get from Spain to Las Palmas.
So taking this at face value we are looking at a July 9th landfall in Tortola. We continue to hang onto the hope we’ll see Dignity before we return on the 14th although the consensus amongst us is that we’ll be arguing over which dot she is in the ocean as we depart Beef Island Airport.

When will Dignity arrive?
103nm today so we’re back in business. We need better though. If we can average 150nm per day then Dignity will arrive in BVIs on July 7th, that’s my optimistic forecast. If she averages 103nm per day (like today) she’ll arrive on July 17th. We return from BVIs on July 14th. We need better.

Back on the move
Dignity is back on the move. Now we’re back to guesstimating her arrival time. The optimistic ETA is now July 7th. This is one week before we leave for home. Fingers are back to being crossed but hopes are mixed. This is excruciating.

Faulty Indicator
Faulty indicator it seems. Dignity is well and should be off as soon as weather permits.
