Celebrations – To Ben and Amy – To Rob.

Back in Grahamstown the family could not pass the evening without going to Sue and Jay’s home and having a celebration Brai with the odd glass of wine thrown in. Of course, the intent/excuse was to celebrate Ben and Amy’s engagement. I’m sure they’ll have one or two more celebrations ahead of them.

During this celebration Helen and I received another cause for celebration. Rob, our good friend in the UK, who has been fighting his own battle against cancer since before mine started has himself achieved remission. Boy that felt good. We were reminded of all the emotion we felt when we achieved remission.

Some family pics of the evening – many including Bao who was again delightful.

Hey guys, can your year get any better!!! Congratulations on the very sweet lady that Ben has chosen to be his partner in life. They make a delightful pair. Following you every chance we get. Just back from 10 days up at Jacks. The weather was superb. Lots of biking, fishing swimming. walking, gardening, reading and Lews new favorite thing in the world to do….floundering. Only one this trip but he WILL get better. And hey, guess what. We were picnicing on Moturua, the island you walk around, and dolphins came into the bay, real close. We threw our glasses of wine down the hatch and scrabbled out to join them. They played with us for 10 mins at least Twas a marvellous thing. Our 1st ever swim with dolphins. Magic. We thought and spoke of you both often up there as thats where you belong in our memories. Loads of love from us down here xxxxx
