Dignity has less than 1,000nm to go.
It’s difficult getting back into land life. Feels a little like I’m living in shades of gray and lost all the colour in life.
Nevertheless, this land life is a necessary part of our future. We still have the family to build as well as the cruising fund. Gotta keep soldiering on. Already looking forward to next February when we’ll spend a week on Dignity – finally.
Last Sunday I checked out Timeless to make sure all things are ok. Very little water in the bilge and the engine started perfectly. I couldn’t resist taking her out for a solo spin. The responsiveness of a monohull was much more noticeable in comparison to the Privilege cat we were on for the last 3 weeks. I can see why diehard sailors prefer monohulls. Not that this changes my mind in any way about Dignity. When we eventually travel on Dignity most of our time will be spent stationary with the boat acting as our home. That drives our preferences far more than sailing performance.
