I was so surprised to see an email in my inbox with ‘Aboard Dignity’ on it. I was an avid reader of you and Steve’s blog and it was partially responsible for us to go buy our own yacht and go sailing on longer passages.
I have often thought about the blog and considered it to be at the forefront of today’s YouTube sailing blogs.
I once sent Steve a signed copy of of the latest Deacon Blue album (my daughter was dating one if the band members sons) and I know he appreciated the gesture and I hope he got the opportunity to listen to some of it before his illness took hold.
I hope that you Helen have found peace and happiness in the home you bought before Steve’s passing and the family are all doing well wherever they are in the world now. I’m sure Steve would be very proud of them. Youl’ll certainly have many great memories together and this blog is something I still have on iPad in my favourites section and occasionally read.
Wishing you and all your family a very Happy Christmas a d a peaceful New Year.

    Kind Regards
    Gordon (Ross)

  • Helen…Yes, I still have your blog in my feed reader! I hope you are doing well? Nice to see pictures of Steve. I hope you are doing well? Karen and I are living still in North Carolina, and our kids live just a town away. We finally sold Tahina in 2020 to our dear friends, and former crew, Jason and Lara. They are treating her very well and will soon finally begin their first chartering season in the Bahamas. My current project is a retrofit to a home built aircraft I purchased in June – an Vans Aircraft RV-10.
