Itinerary for next February

We now have power returned to us so I can now post my earlier work on our itinerary for next February ….

Saturday, 16th

Travel to BVIs, arrive early evening. Go straight to Nanny Cay, settle in then it’s Painkillers and dinner at Peg Legs.

Sunday, 17th

In the morning, receive provisions preordered from Bobby’s and formal check in. Later in the morning we’ll sail over to Peter Island where we’ll beach hop and eventually moor/anchor for the night. We’ll probably eat our evening meal aboard but may also visit Peter Island Resort for a moonlight walk and, who knows, a drink or two at the Beach Bar on Deadman’s Beach.

Power Cut

This morning, I was busy putting together a blog entry covering our february itinerary when we lost power to the house. Fortunately I was working on my laptop so the battery saved my work. But I was unable to post. However, this allows me to pretend we are out at sea and our only contact is via short wave. Ok, so I’m using my phone and I’m in my living room but I have been for a long (for me) run and my legs are shakey. You make what you can from each moment.

He says there is nothing like waking up to the smell of fresh bread baking. There are many who may think this is an extravagance aboard a boat but anyway, last weekend we decided to get one to see what it’s like. I made a loaf last Sunday evening which went down well although was a little stodgy as I think I skimmed on the yeast. Last night I set it up so we could wake up to fresh bread. Problem is, I woke early this morning and have had to wait while the smell of cooking bread drives me mad with hunger. So all I have to do is close my eyes and imagine we’re on the boat. And of course wait. Mmmmmmm.
