  • New Toy for February

I ordered a new camera yesterday with our trip in February in mind – the Olympus Stylus 770 SW.  Perhaps not the best picture taker but it does work underwater (to a depth of 32 feet / 10 meters), can be dropped and sat on.  When you’re bumming about beaches, this is the sort of camera you need.  Hopefully this will mean plenty of interesting (including underwater) shots from our Feb trip which is now (let me check) just 48 days away.

  • Flights Changed

If you are paying very close attention you’ll notice my home page countdown to our vacation has lost 15 minutes.  That is because we have been informed of changes to our flight itinerary – the upshot being we’ll arrive 15 minutes earlier than originally expected.  Time for an extra Painkiller.

  • Google Earth Track

Further to my last blog, here is a Google Earth track of our proposed itinerary : bvi-feb-2008-candidate-plan.kmz

  • Itinerary for next February

We now have power returned to us so I can now post my earlier work on our itinerary for next February ….

    Saturday, 16th

Travel to BVIs, arrive early evening. Go straight to Nanny Cay, settle in then it’s Painkillers and dinner at Peg Legs.

    Sunday, 17th

In the morning, receive provisions preordered from Bobby’s and formal check in. Later in the morning we’ll sail over to Peter Island where we’ll beach hop and eventually moor/anchor for the night. We’ll probably eat our evening meal aboard but may also visit Peter Island Resort for a moonlight walk and, who knows, a drink or two at the Beach Bar on Deadman’s Beach.

  • Blogs copied over

Just finished copying over all my old blog entries back to last March. This was quite tedious but I’m glad I’ve done this. It was quite strange going back over all the blogs associated with Dignity’s delivery. It feels such a long time ago. The excitement and pain has already faded into the past and is beginning to feel more of a blip on our journey. The next step of our journey will be our all too brief trip to the BVIs next February – now less than 11 weeks away. Wow.
