During our last trip to the BVIs I had modest success with a Belkin USB Wireless aerial. Unfortunately (and probably as a result of the disposal of some Caribs) I left it out overnight and it got wet and subsequently did not work. So I’ve been keeping my eye out for a replacement. Right now, this beast has caught my eye. It’s for use outside of the US which basically says it’s too much for the FCC. But a range of 25 miles is pretty cool. It has a 630mW transmitter with a 19dBi antenna. That makes is over 100 times more powerful than a 300mW plug in with standard 2dBi rubber duck aerial. Could I really justify getting one of these for Feb?
